Students or departments planning to bring buses on campus to pick up passengers for an off-campus event must first contact the Parking and Transportation Office at minimum of two-weeks in advance of the event to register the bus presence on campus. Bus registration is required to ensure that there is enough space on campus to accommodate the buses, as well as to address safety in the boarding and unloading process. There is no guarantee that bus registration requests are always honored. Bus companies are not permitted to finalize a bus reservation for the Danforth Campus until they receive approval from the Parking and Transportation Office. All buses require a Washington University student, staff or faculty member as the contact person. Any bus reservation that involves transporting passengers off-campus to an event with alcohol or an event involving more than four buses requires security guards to monitor bus boarding and unloading.
